Owen earned his B.A. in Music: Technology and the Recording Arts from UMBC. While enrolled in college and after graduation, Owen worked as a woodworker making custom hardwood furniture and built-in wood installations around Baltimore, MD/ Washington D.C. for Maryland Wood Countertops / OE Custom. He ultimately transitioned to full time audio post-production moonlighting for Studio Unknown and contract work with Discovery Channel and National Geographic.

He then worked at Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health in media and communications supporting AV infrastructure, audio-video production, and all content post-production. His work for the Bloomberg School of Public Health during the COVID-19 pandemic was some of his most intense and challenging work experiences but most fulfilling work of his career supporting vaccine messaging and combatting public health mis and disinformation.

Owen was accepted to the Peabody Conservatory MA: Acoustic Sciences but has since left the program due to career changes.

He currently works at T. Rowe Price in Marketing in content creation (video and podcasts) supporting investment education, media for financial literacy, and content for product marketing.

Owen can be found performing around the greater Baltimore MD/ Washington D.C. metro area in multiple ensembles and routinely with Babes of Yesteryear and The French Champagne.

He is Pro Tools Operator certified and highly proficient in the Adobe CC Suite and Logic Pro. He is a multi-instrumentalist but his primary instrument is Bass (electric guitar and upright).

Owen plays Fender, Warwick, and Birdsong (formerly S.D. Curlee) basses. He uses Aguilar and Fender bass amplifiers, records with Neumann, Shure, Audix, and MXL microphones and uses Universal Audio interfaces / hardware.

He is open and exited to collaborate in sound design, music production, and voiceover/ voice acting. Examples of Owen's work as a contributing artist are available upon request.
